This beautiful Matzhoh cover and matching Afikoman cover are artfully hand painted on pure silk in the Jerusalem studio of Yair Emanuel. Choose from a wide variety of motifs (the price will vary according to the complexity of the motif because they are all hand painted).
The Hebrew word for Passover, 'Pessach' is featured prominently in the matzoh cover. The word Afikoman is written in Hebrew on its cover. The matzhoh cover is divided into three sections to hold the three matzahs (matzot in Hebrew) which are traditionally a part of the seder table. (Some Oriental Jewish cultures use only two matzot). Use the matching, smaller Afikoman cover to store the Afikoman - a part of the middle matzah - which is traditionally hidden during the seder meal. The children search for the Afikoman and are given a present for its safe return to the seder table, since it is needed to finish the seder meal. Dimensions: Matzah Cover: 16" x 16" (40.6 cm x 40.6 cm) Afikoman Cover: 8" x 12" (20.3 cm x 30.5 cm)
